KR-515 is a silicone oligomer product, and is a low molecular weight product with the same molecular structure as a silicone resin. It contains alkoxysilyl groups, which allow them to modify organic resins to improve their water resistance and weatherability.
- Medium degree of polymerization. KR-515 has a higher degree of polymerization than KC-89S but lower than that of silicone resins.
- Organic resin modifier that can be used to improve heat resistance and weatherability, particularly with water-based organic resins
